ABOUT IT TAKES A VILLAGE
A surge in the number of young children suffering from levels of anxiety has prompted the creation of a community wide positive well-being initiative led by St. Patrick's National School in Greystones, Co. Wicklow.
‘It Takes A Village’ is a positive well-being initiative borne out of concerns expressed by teachers in primary schools located in the Greystones and Delgany areas of County Wicklow. The initiative seeks to build a community of services to assist children, families and teachers in need of help with issues around anxiety in young children in the eight primary schools in the catchment area.
“The importance of looking after our children's mental health has never been better understood which is why all of the schools in the town are coming together to make this happen.” Stephen Donnelly, T.D. Minister for Health
